We met when our littles were in preschool together, and now we are friends.  When she asked me to take their family photos this fall, I was truly honored.  The morning of the shoot it was drizzling and quite a mess...and we almost cancelled it, but then the clouds parted, things dried a bit and made way for our photo session.  My favorite part of a session is the moment when we have all our shots...and just get to play.  The playing pictures are always some of my favorites..that's when they cut loose and do what kids do best...run, explore and laugh.

Oh my word.  Tiny fingers and toes.  Every square inch of her little self is simply perfection.  My boys are no longer this tiny and sometimes I forget...until I step in the door of a newborn house and see that tiny person in her parents loving arms.  This is why I do this.  She will grow...everyday stronger, everyday taller than the last.  I want to preserve how it feels for them to be her parents, in this moment, when she is tiny.  I want them to remember her small curled fingers and the way she looks in their arms.  Welcome to the world baby A.  There is no doubt that you are perfectly, quietly, completely loved.

They are so dear to me.  Our boys are buddies and at one time, we could walk through the back yard and to their backdoor, but new adventures and family took them out of state.  We miss them so.  It's one of those friendships that are easy and relaxed...you can be yourself.  On our trip to visit them, we did a quick mini session to update their family photos.  
We sure do miss you guys.    

So much love in this family!  They laugh together, and play together quite well!  When I asked the kids what they love about their mom, their responses brought tears to her eyes....good tears.  This is their first year in their new home, so it was perfectly fitting that we did the shoot there.
