How can this possibly be the first snow in Strongsville? We may have had a skiff before Christmas but surely not enough to play in. Shovels and gardening tools were used as they shoveled, tossed and tasted the snow. Their hands were little icicles and the only why I could get them inside was to bride them with hot cocoa.

This is Thanksgiving. Patsy (who is more like an aunt than a cousin) is the matriarch of the family...and the host of Thanksgiving. We eat more food that we can possibly fit into our bellies and if it's nice (like the last few years have been) the kids find their way outdoors, throwing pumpkins, playing ball, running...anything to wear themselves down. The girls are getting so big, as of course, are my boys. But even when there are months between seeing each other, they pick up where they left off...the girls babbying { baby little } and { big boy little } part of their pack. I hope they remember this. Memories are made hereFrom boating, to playing in the sand, to homemade ice cream, {big boy littles} first jet ski ride, and everything in between. It's family. 5D Mark II || Tamron 24-70 Cleveland, Ohio Photographer
June was a blur. I find each week filled with activities, play dates and adventures. When the week ends I wonder where the time went so quickly. But this is why I love this project so much. I can look at the blog and remember everything from big boy little's first fish to a simple evening where they swing around and wrestle. Even the ordinary moments are special. This is our annual tradition. Since we moved into our house 6 years ago, we host on the 4th. Food, friends, kids running around (although that wasn't always the case) and Strongsville city fireworks to end the night. The kids look forward to the glowsticks and sparklers....big boy little talks about it for days before. For the past few years I bring my big girl camera and we get a pic of each of the families...I always love this pic of us. We quickly grab the kids as they run around in the field, snap a quick pic and they go quickly back to whatever shenanigans that had started. I can't imagine spending the 4th any differently.
